Here is a super cool and simple magic card trick to surprise your friends and family. You will need 1 deck of normal playing cards. Show your audience the stack and mix them well.

Now count the first 26 pieces, turning them face up as you count them into a pile. He pays close attention to card number 18 as he turns them over and places them in a pile.

Once you’ve gone through all 26, stop and grab them, turn them face down, and place them on the bottom of the pile.

Now you are going to count 4 rows of 10 cards. You’ll turn over the top of the deck, and whatever number is on that face, you’ll start counting up to 10 from there. So, for example, if it’s an eight, you put that one down and say 8 and then another card on top of it that goes down like it’s solo. The next one is 9 and then 10. Now start the next row with another card. If that’s a two, start by saying 2, then the next piece is 3, the next 4, and so on until you get to 10. It doesn’t matter what number is on the face, you’re just counting to ten from the first number in each row you begin. If one of them starts with a ten, jack, queen, or king, it will count as a ten, so just say that amount and start the next row until you complete all 4 lines.

Now take the top card in each row and flip it up away from the lines and add the total of those four. Again, if one of them is number two, a jack, queen, or king, it counts as ten. Now after adding the sum of those four pieces. Take the total, like fourteen, and tell your audience that you will find the suit of your 18th card when you reach that number. Count up as many cards from the remaining deck you have in your hand and that last number should be the lucky piece you looked at all along. Remember that I told you to pay attention to point 18.

Practice this simple magic card trick before performing for family or friends to ensure you have it perfect.
