Everyone needs approval. We have a need to connect on a human level. Studies say that a child becomes how you treat him. A mother constantly tells her son that she is not good enough. That child grows up with negative self-esteem. On the other hand, a mother encourages and supports her son, that child becomes a healthy human being; that he not only stands up for himself, but that he is stable enough to support many others. Appreciation is the key to making extraordinary people shine.

We have all heard of the Law of Attraction. May your attention expand. The same applies to the need for appraisal. Everyone needs to be recognized for their efforts; for the wonderful person they are. Well, let that start with you. Hone your instincts to look for good qualities in people. You will notice the gifts of people the more you look.

You can make or break anyone’s day (or spirit) with the words you choose. Start creating a happy world around you. The emphasis is on focusing on the positive. One way is to keep a gratitude journal and start making a list to appreciate people.

  • Write a list of all the good qualities of everyone in your circle in your journal.
  • Then be sure to let them know why they are special.
  • Be sincere in your praise. keep it genuine
  • Don’t stop there. Keep finding good traits in everyone and highlighting them. Many people may even be surprised, since they do not know that they are extraordinary people.

Remember, we don’t need heroes like Superman to be considered extraordinary. Ordinary people with extraordinary human warmth abound, but go unnoticed. Notice all the good traits in people. Let them know about it. Make the lives of these extraordinary people have more meaning. You will receive tremendous joy and bliss from that. You know what I mean; that feeling you get after making an apparent change in someone’s life… that warm and fuzzy feeling. Oh you know. Spread it! You will be surprised how he comes back into your life.
