Most of the remedies worked very well, were cheap, and could usually be found in most homes.

Sore muscles from a dose of the flu? Mix 1 tablespoon of horseradish in 1 cup of olive oil. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes, then apply as a massage oil, for instant relief to sore muscles.
