There are new concerns that Barnes & Nobles’ Nook e-book reader is getting out of hand. Everyone who sees one has a fever, and if the price of Barnes & Noble’s Nook color e-book doesn’t go up, there’s no stopping people from getting it. A pandemic. People are bored with the boring black and white e-reader and are embracing this infectious color e-reader. Why and what can be done to stop it? Let’s put it under the microscope and find out.

Color worthy of the Vivid View name.

There are 16,000,000 colors waking up on the seven-inch backlit LCD screen. It has a total screen resolution of 1024×600 pixels that dazzles the eye. With over eighty different magazines available by issue or subscription, you’ll get plenty of easy-on-the-eyes information. Choose from over two million books. Barnes & Nobles children’s books are not only colorful, but some of their offerings come to life and are fully interactive. It will spark your child’s interest in reading, and there is no greater gift you can give your child than the ability to read. It last for ever.

Something magic.

One of the stories you grew up with was “Aladdin’s Lamp” and it was always a wonder how that big guy fit into that lamp. It’s also a bit of magic to me that you can fit nearly 6,000 books, magazines, and newspapers into this 8.1-inch high x 5-inch wide x 0.48-inch deep e-reader. It has a memory of 8 gigabytes that can be expanded to 32 gigabytes with a mini sd card. Aladdin’s genies would have had room to spare. There’s a reading experience that’s right for everyone with six different font sizes, adjustable lines, margins, and background colors. This is what makes this reader stand out from the rest. The user interface is deceptively simple. Any knucklehead can figure it out. Its first use is that simple. Plug it in and charge it up. Find the single switch on the case, turn it on in an area with Wi-Fi, and tap the screen. A video begins that takes you through the registration process, and then teaches you everything you need to know about your Nook. There are a total of six touch options on your e-reader that target a specific target. The reason this reader is so popular is that it’s something you’ll use without suffering the indignity of frustration.

What is making the competition sick?

I’ve been talking about the Nook color eBook reader, and honestly, for what it does, it’s a great value. However, this e-reader leaves the ship, posing as a spell tablet. He can check email, play games, listen to Pandora radio or his favorite mp3s, audiobooks or surf the web and he will do all of these things for a negligible fee. (That’s a precise dollar amount that makes competitors cringe.) There are many more features that it has that I will leave for you to explore. Its size makes this e-reader comfortable to look at and easy to slip into a bag on the go. He’s a durable guy who doesn’t mind being a little rough. The Nook e-book reader: color that’s contagious, features that captivate, and anyone who comes in contact with one understands it. The competition can only hope that Nook (flu) season ends soon.
