Training your Mastiff can be difficult due to how stubborn the dogs can be. I know it was hard for my son because he would always want to be doing his thing instead of what I wanted him to do. I know that once I figured out how to handle this stubborn mastiff behavior, I was able to train him to the point where he would listen to me and do whatever I told him to do. Having him trained to this point is very nice because then I know that he will listen to me in the most important moments. Here are some tips that can help you train his stubborn mastiff.

The first tip that can help you the most is to make sure your dog knows that you are the boss. I know this can be difficult, but the way I found to do this is through an exercise where you sit on a chair with your Mastiff’s leash in hand and you are attached to it.

Then you’ll stay in the chair playing a video game, reading a book, paying bills, or something of the sort while he lays down next to you. It will then sit like that for half an hour or so and will only start counting the time after they have gone to bed and decided to sit there. I know after five minutes my mastiff would lay down and go to sleep for the time being, so it was pretty easy.
