Are you harassed? What is the definition of “harassed” anyway? After looking it up in the dictionary, it says: “persistently troublesome, especially for minor annoyances.” So what can we assume with this title? Are you a homeschooling parent dealing with minor annoyances? Things like chaos, discipline issues, finding balance in your home school, healthy socializing… So what can we do to fix these little annoyances? Perhaps one thing that could be of great benefit to all of us is learning how to say one simple word… no.

We as homeschooling moms have a real ministry. The ministry of motherhood. As Shari, a homeschooling mom in Illinois, agrees. She says, “Once I understood what God has called me to do, it was so much easier to say no.” Staying focused on her mission, “the ministry of motherhood and teaching,” she keeps her content with her life as a homeschooling mother.

And as Christine Field, author, shares the wisdom of Dr. Richard Swenson, “we cry out to God, ‘Help!’ But God replies: ‘When you return to where you belong, then I will help you. Remember: you are the creature. I am God. Use my power, not yours.'” our motherhood journey, wouldn’t we all be so much better off? Wouldn’t we all be harassed? Less annoying?

Here are some gems Christine has gleaned from homeschooling that she would like to share with you in her book. They are:

p-peace
E-resistance
A-acceptance
R-restore
lasting love
S-satisfaction with the service

“Let us not tire, then, of doing good; for in due time we will reap, if we do not fail.”
Galatians 6:9, NIV

It is a must read!
