Greektown Detroit has long been a favorite for many people to hang out and eat good food. The diversity of restaurants here and the neighborhood feel in downtown Detroit make it a fun place to go.
For starters, Greektown’s location is in downtown Detroit, close to places like the Renaissance Center, Detroit Riverwalk, Ford Field, Comerica Park, and Campus Martius. This makes it easy to access after attending an event in the center and if you want to eat something or have a drink afterwards.
Next, the food. You have many options when it comes to choosing food in Greektown. Of course, you will find Greek food, which is delicious, but you can also find Italian food and your good American cuisine. You are sure to find something to suit your tastes and fill your stomach.
Fishbone’s, which is known for its seafood, is a popular spot that has received rave reviews for years, and while it isn’t cheap, it won’t break the bank. I love going to eat.
One of my favorite bakeries, Milano Bakery, is a great place for dessert after a good meal. I love eating cannoli’s, cupcakes, and cheesecake. However, it is definitely not a place to go if you are trying to lose weight;).
If you are looking for entertainment, the Greektown Casino may be the place for you. It has many tables and slot machines if you like to gamble. The new casino part of the hotel has just opened as well (reasonable rates), so you could make the Greektown Hotel your place to stay if you’re visiting the city.
