INTRODUCTION:
Volvo has launched the second generation XC60 SUV in India at a starting price of Rs 55.90 lakhs with a fuel-efficient powertrain, upgraded safety systems and of course a luxurious feel. The Volvo XC60 is offered in only one variant, known as the Inscription, for now in India. However, the Swedish brand seems determined enough to assemble the SUV in India just like the previous XC90, as the competition becomes stronger than ever.

DESIGN:
Let’s take a look at the design aspect of the SUV. The SUV is heavily inspired by its larger XC90 relative. Design highlights are the 19-inch alloy wheels, waterfall grille, all-LED headlights, and sleek yet attractive taillights. The SUV is 44mm longer, 11mm wider and 14mm shorter in height than previous variants. The Ride is quite comfortable for 5 people. The interiors are familiar Volvo designs, which of course is a compliment. The highlight of the one-piece Driftwood dash is the 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. A 15-speaker system by Bowers and Wilkins, a sunroof and heated seats in all directions are other design highlights.

ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS:
The Volvo XC60 is powered by a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, producing 235PS peak power and 480Nm of torque, easily making it the most powerful SUV in its segment category. XC60 has an 8-speed automatic transmission and the company claims to reach a top speed of 230 kmph. Driving luxury is therefore enhanced and speed lovers will not be disappointed with these specifications.

The specifications of the Volvo XC60:
Mileage: 11.20 kmpl,

Fuel Type: Diesel,

Fuel tank: 71 liters,

Engine: 1969cc,

HP: 235 HP,

Number of cylinders: 5,

Number of gears: 8 speeds.

Verdict:
Volvo XC60 comes with a sector where the competition is really tough. The Volvo XC60 has fierce competition from the likes of the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, Audi Q5 and Lexus NX 300h. However, if you want a sporty SUV, look elsewhere, and if you want an off-road SUV, this isn’t for you either. But yes, if you are looking for a luxury compact SUV, this may become a fantasy SUV for you for all the reasons mentioned above. With the type of equipment it provides and various unique items, it certainly has the potential to stand out in a price range below 60 lakhs.
