Guns and Roses, Metallica, Van Halen and Kiss are all hardcore rock and roll bands. They mean high energy and intensity. I need to tell you that Ross has the same philosophy of exercising.

This book and DVD series is awesome. Ross must be a little crazy about the way he works. This boy defines the concept of “Work Ethics” in this educational series.

Why is this important to me?

I always want to make sure that when I create a video it is worth it from your point of view. This program is vital if you want to step up your exercise game and get in great shape. You can use some of these tools as a beginner, but you will see Ross things add up quickly.

Also, if you want to maximize stamina and energy, this is the program for you. Ross is an expert in combat sports training and understands what it takes to train effectively to win.

If you are a boxer, MMA fighter, or wrestler, this program will help you develop your intestinal system to achieve peak performance. The well-conditioned athlete will outperform the most talented athlete in subsequent rounds, EVERY TIME.

There’s a ton of great stuff on this show and I’ll go over some big points and show a couple of clips of Ross himself doing things.

1.3 Energy Systems: Ross discusses the aerobic, glycogen, and ATP-PC energy systems in detail. Use the research and detail how these systems work. Simply put, you have three energy systems consisting of two anaerobic and one aerobic. The goal of this type of exercise is to increase net work output and maximize all three energy systems to achieve this. If you are a fan of boxing or MMA, you may have noticed that at the beginning of fights, combat athletes have more power in their punches than later in the fight. This has to do with the anaerobic system breaking down and losing energy. Ross shows you how you can increase anaerobic work capacity by using aerobic rest periods to increase total work output. This is great. Two of the best fighters – Manny Pacquiao and Pretty Boy Floyd Mayweather have incredible stamina and energy and that is why they have been champions for so long.

2. Interval Training: Interval training is the best way to improve your aerobic and anaerobic energy systems. Research shows that intense, intermittent training offers the best of both worlds. Side note: If you want to lose weight / fat, this type of exercise will melt you off. Interval training provides a mechanism to burn calories throughout the day. Research shows that speed training, interval work, and other forms of intensity help the body burn calories, ALL DAY. This secret is the key for you to melt fat. You can run long distances and that exercise will burn more calories DURING WORKOUT. It’s the rest of the day that counts if you want to burn calories and interval training is key.

3. Variety: the biological law of accommodation. This law states that the body’s response to a constant stimulus decreases over time. I never knew they had a technical name for boredom. If you have been exercising for any length of time, then you have reached milestones in your training routines. The body and mind is a wonderful combination and allows you to adapt to stimuli. Some exercise programs solve this problem by using muscle confusion. Basically, the types of exercises you do vary. This law is relevant in all aspects of your life. If you haven’t had a New York Strip steak in years and you love steak, when you finally do eat it, it tastes great. If you have one every day for dinner this month, then you get bored and it’s not great anymore. The same goes for exercise routines.

Ross combines different exercises with maximum intensity and timed relaxation between sets. Remember that the goal of your training is to maximize work output in the shortest time possible.

Basically, this is the holy grail of exercise because you can increase your results in less time. If you’ve seen any of my summaries, then you know that I’m a huge fan of compound effects and time preservation.

The clip I’m about to show is an advanced clip, so don’t be discouraged if you can’t. I bet 98% of the population, including me, can’t do these things, but it’s a great goal to strive for.

Full Throttle Conditioning is an excellent program that allows you to step up your exercise game. One thing research shows is that your GH (growth hormone) increases naturally with interval training. This is the key to staying young. As GH depletes over time, you lose energy and will to live. Interval training will help you increase your energy in the long run.

I hope this short video summary has been helpful to you. The key to any new idea is to incorporate it into your daily routine until it becomes a habit. Habits are formed in just 21 days.

One thing you can take away from this book is jumping rope. I know this sounds basic, but a lot of people don’t like running. Jumping rope with intensity will activate fat burning and develop all three energy systems. Try it as part of your exercise routine for a month and record your progress. I think the results will pleasantly surprise you.
