When making a barbecue, the most important thing, apart from the dish itself, is a grill. As it is important, everyone who owns a barbecue grill should be aware of how little maintenance is necessary for a successful barbecue. Caring for a grill (also known as barbecue maintenance) can add years to the life of the grill, as well as tons of memories. Whether it’s a family reunion or a barbecue party, keeping a grill clean and in good condition should always be a top five priority in addition to the obvious: cooking meats, alcohol, and of course, friends and family. . Who wants to cook on a broken roasting rack?

Cleaning your grill, whether it’s propane or charcoal, doesn’t actually affect the cleaning process. Grill cleaning requires a wire grill brush. Some believe that other items are needed to clean a grill, such as sponges, dishwashing liquid, steel wool pads, and dry baking soda, but I personally feel that once a fire is started, the fire burns everything and causes the brush with the wire grill brush much easier and effortless, just watch your fingers! Ideally, you’ll want to clean your grill after you’ve finished grilling. Totally understandable if you don’t because you were getting too excited with your friends. If you go crazy with your friends and don’t clean the grill, then the next time you fire up the grill just grab your wire brush and clean the grill. If you’re going to grill something, it’s also not a bad idea to use cooking spray. Once you’re done grilling, another barbecue maintenance tip would be to put on a grill cover… let the grill cool down first!

Barbecue maintenance is important because the best maintained barbecue grill will last much longer and will never cause a party failure. Speaking of party crowds, let’s talk super radical barbecue parties. We’ll be talking about themed BBQ parties like Southern BBQ, Hawaiian BBQ, Halloween, and any type of theme party. Grilled meat goes well at 2am when you feel like eating. When a certain topic is discussed, everyone is encouraged to dress accordingly and since it’s a barbecue…eat the part too. For example, a Hawaiian-themed barbecue would have traditional Hawaiian food on the menu, such as:

– Beef, Chicken or Pork Ribs

– Shrimp, Lobster, Crab, Etc.

– Tuna or whatever you prefer

– Fruits: bananas, pineapple, mangoes, papaya, limes, strawberries, etc.

– Vegetables: onions, mushrooms, courgettes, spring onions, tomatoes, etc.

Live the Hawaiian life and feast on all these ingredients or go caveman and catch the meat sweats at 2am… it’s your BBQ party, go wild with it! As in any theme party, people usually play the role of the theme. For a Hawaiian themed party, you must have torches, a bar, inflatable or real palm trees, Hawaiian button down shirts, lei’s, hula skirts, patio lights and lanterns and much more. Those are just a few ideas, get creative with them!

A barbecue should be a party regardless of whether someone is cooking for themselves or for a large group of people. You are outside around a fire… mine too put on some music and have fun. When it comes to grill and party maintenance, these two go hand-in-hand, so don’t let a neglected grill ruin your party! Boom! So have fun with friends and family, but don’t forget to keep your BBQ grill going!
