Strepsils & Spleens

There are good and bad things to having a baby in the family, strepsils being one of the latter. A pregnant mother is already prone to developing a number of ailments, this being one of them. The reason behind this is that pregnancy has increased the chances of developing certain illnesses such as anemia and high blood pressure.

A doctor may prescribe an oral medication that helps in decreasing these ailments. If the disease is not treated then it could affect the baby’s growth. In this case the strepsils will be affected too. However, there are ways to minimize this risk by making sure the body is able to produce enough antibodies.

Pregnant mothers should take special care of their skin. This is because they will be exposed to bacteria and viruses that can harm their unborn child. It is therefore necessary to have the skin that is healthy and strong so that it can protect the baby. Taking care of one’s skin through proper cleansing and moisturizing will help them protect their babies. This will also prevent them from developing strep throat.

Is Strepsils & Spleens Good For Pregnant Women?

Pregnant women should not wear tight fitting clothes that expose the upper part of the body. Such clothing can restrict the flow of air and lead to overheating leading to thrush and other infections. This is why wearing loose fitting clothes such as pants and skirts is advisable. One also has to make sure that the pillowcases and linens in the home are not contaminated. This is because the mother can be susceptible to developing an illness due to the use of contaminated items.

Foods rich in vitamin C are good for pregnant women as well. They can consume fruits and vegetables such as oranges, tomatoes, and green leafy vegetables like spinach in order to get sufficient amounts of Vitamin C. However, it is best to eat these foods raw. One has to remember that foods with Vitamin C do not necessarily taste good, and therefore one needs to be choosy regarding which foods to eat. Milk and yogurt are two good sources of Vitamin C. Other foods that can be consumed include sweet potatoes, broccoli, peppers and eggplant. Vitamin C supplements are available in the market but they are not really good for pregnant women to take as their daily source of vitamins.

It is always advisable to observe good personal hygiene. Cleanliness is not only essential when one is pregnant, it is equally important during all times. Washing the face and hands at least two times a day is necessary. Cleaning the teeth thoroughly can help avoid tooth decay. Remember to brush the tongue as well so as to remove any food particles that might remain there. Drinking plenty of water regularly keeps the body hydrated and can detoxify the system.
