San Jose is conveniently located in Silicon Valley. This means there are a lot of conventions and a lot of tech geeks in town. If you are one of those geeks or are just here pretending that you like Star Trek, you will want to read this. We will map out many of the nearby hotels, their prices, and what to look for. I won’t mention the Holiday Inns or the Double Trees. These are convention hotels, where meetings and people will be seen, the best and most elegant. When it comes to finding a great place for attendees to stay, this is the article to read. The hospitality of San José makes this an easy task, in a city that would make anyone feel at home.

Wyndham Hotel

Just a mile and a half from the San Jose Airport is the beautiful Wyndham Hotel. The entire hotel was renovated in 2005. They have 4 large meeting rooms, the California Ballroom being quite massive. It is located 3 miles from the convention center and has many rooms to accommodate a large number of people (335/5).

Clarion Hotel

The Clarion doesn’t have to work too hard to get a resort feel out of it. Like the Wyndham, it is only a mile from the airport. The reason we include this hotel is the ballroom. The 2,500 square meters. Foot Ballroom opens to a beautiful covered patio with trellis and view, adjacent to tropical gardens and a putting green. Sounds like a good place to take partners? If it is.

Crowne plaza

The Crowne Plaza distinguishes itself from other hotels in that it is located in the city center. The others too, but the Crowne is directly across the street from the convention center. The hotel brings a modern touch to the luxurious rooms, with bright colors and wonderful furnishings. Where the Crowne lacks is in their meeting rooms, they make up for it with amenities. The meeting room can accommodate around 600 people, which is significantly lower than the previous two hotels. The cool rooms, bar, and atmosphere make the Crowne excellent.

Dolce Hayes Mansion

The Hayes Mansion may have a fun name, but it’s where productive businesses meet high-tech. The Dolce is also the preferred gathering place for Fortune 500 executives and CEOs. The 6,600 square feet. foot Ballroom is exquisitely located additional meeting rooms, providing attendees with the most space of any hotel on the list. When it comes to luxury and space, this hotel wins hands down. We would have mentioned it first, but the price may be off the radar for some of the Silicones.

The Sainte Clair, in Larkspur

Just the name is enough for you to want to buy. Striking and bold architecture and design make this hotel a masterpiece. Many people like the Sainte Clair for the usable space and proximity to the convention center and airport. However, the Sainte Clair might be more famous for its restaurant. Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana is known throughout San José for its incredible Italian food. If you love Italian food as much as I do, this is the place to be.
