Most people don’t realize how fast mobile cellular phone technology is advancing today, it seems to be increasing exponentially. As we study all the new apps and features along with all the new devices, we see that there is no way to stop these advances. The question is; are you in or out? Will you embrace these new technologies and applications or will you fear them? Are you sure you trust these innovations? What about privacy, hacking, what about the future?

To quickly illustrate just how fast things are moving in the smartphone space, let me give you a few examples. These are up to date, as in this week; personal technology items in the smart cell phone industry. The first article I found on Boston.com, an article titled: “Check This Out: Deposit Money Taking a Photo,” by Andrew Vanacore – AP Business Writer / Feb 23, 2010. In the article, the writer states:

“In the near future, you may not even have to visit a bank or ATM to deposit a check. You will simply take a couple of photos with your cell phone. Apps to do just that are already available for the iPhone from Apple. and other devices from USAA, a company that provides insurance and banking services primarily to military veterans.”

He goes on to explain in this piece of personal mobile smart cell phone technology that banks like Chase, B of A, and Citibank seem to be all on board with this technology, the article’s author suggests, and will introduce this technology in 2010. The concept is called ” Remote Deposit Capture”, and where it seems like a great technology and easy to use concept, we also need to remember what a target mobile users have become for hackers, especially as we find out about the release of codes secrets used to encrypt such devices.

Scary stuff, for those who use such apps, but indeed, it would surely make electronic wire deposits easy, wouldn’t it? Of course, if cell phone banking bothers you, maybe we should suggest doing real-time window shopping via your cell phone? There is no point in going shopping and telling yourself that you drop it anymore, just walk in the window, even if the store is closed and press buy, and it’s yours, and it will be sent to your house. Online shopping while window shopping.

A recent article in the New York Times explains it all. The title of the article; “Cell Phones Allow Shoppers to Point, Click, and Buy” By Stephanie Rosenbloom – Posted: Feb 26, 2010 Author explains how shoppers can use their cell phone to order from a retail store window and shop at line by simply pointing to the item in the window; wow, now that’s cool.

Wow, what a concept, all this through the technology of your smartphone. And this is something that will definitely be a hit with cell phone buyers and users. Well, what about Skype smartphone calls? Yes, that’s also available now; In India’s TopNews online and article titled; “Samsung Embeds Skype”, which was posted by Jimmy Peterson on Saturday 2/27/2010 at 12:25 PM, explains it all. The article investigated the impressive growth of Skype usage features on various smartphone devices, as if it could become the international standard for all cell phones in the future. Panasonic and LG are already offering this, and it’s a huge hit in the EU and Asian markets.

As quickly as one company introduces a new feature, all the others seem to follow. Just because Apple or Google have a new app doesn’t mean the industry won’t make it a standard feature on every smartphone like digital camera, video clips etc. Sure, technologies or apps may work slightly differently due to patents, software, device hardware, but essentially every company will offer every app eventually.

The competitive nature of the industry is heating up as hundreds of millions of Chinese, Indian, Southeast Asian, African and South American people get their first mobile devices. Face it, it’s a mobile wired world. In fact, in a recent article in the online version of MB Manila Publishing Company; “Report: Global Phone Sales Up 8% in Q4,” by Melvin G. Calimag on Feb 27, 2010 at 2:19 p.m.

In fact, I would say that this is an exciting time in the mobile smart personal technology sector, perhaps, you would like to upgrade, get on board and enjoy some of the amazing apps that are being announced on a monthly basis, even weekly in some cases. . Why not consider upgrading your smart cell phone device and signing up for a new cellular calling plan? Consider all of this, because our online Think Tank is.
