Do you have a blog that is going nowhere? Find yourself spending less and less time blogging because you are bummed with the results you’ve had so far? Maybe you want to start a blog and see if you can blog for money too. This article will give you some tips so you can start over. But you also have to do something. You have to put these things into practice. You have to act on these things before they are of any use to you. Focus and complete these 7 tips before heading out to do another project.

Tip No. # 1: Turn off the TV and radio so you can hear your thoughts. Now think about your skills, talents, and interests. What are you passionate about? Have you always wanted to do something but, for one reason or another, are never going to do it? Where do you spend most of your time, or where would you like to spend most of your time?

This tip is for you to target your blog (or start your blog) with a specific interest in mind. We call this interest a “niche” on the Internet. All successful blogs and websites target a specific niche, such as a doctor who specializes in a specific area. The more specific your niche is, the higher the search ranking you will have on all search engines. This is the best way to get organic traffic – organic means you don’t have to pay for traffic to your website with search engines.

Tip No. # 2 – If your blog has no particular interest or you haven’t thought of any particular passion or interest yet, that tells me that you may not be cut out to blog for money. Successful bloggers who blog for money spend all of their time and resources focused on their particular interest (aka niche). So if you really want to learn how to blog for money, go back to Tip # 1 until you find out what you want to do or where your talents lie. The advice n. # 1 is the most important tip on which all other tips are based.

Tip No. 3: Congratulations! You have jumped the first hurdle. Now that you know what niche you will focus on, start your research. Doing that is easy enough, but it takes time and you need to take good notes. Google any keyword related to your niche. For example; If your niche is ‘Dog Training’, write it down and see what top 5 websites show up. Look inside these websites and see what keywords they used to rank high on Google. To do that, you can right-click, open the source code document and in the top 10 lines you will see the word “keywords”. After that, you will see the keywords that they have set up for their website.

“Dog Training” is a very difficult keyword to rank for because it is so competitive, so you have to “drill down” and find less competitive keywords. To do this, use the free Google AdWords tool (you can search for it on Google). After putting your keyword to be searched, look for the ‘drop down menu’ where you can activate CPC (cost per click). Look for keywords that have a low CPC and little competition. Write down all of those keywords, but only those that specifically relate to your particular niche. Now, Google those keywords and see what competition you have on the first 2 pages. Choose the top 5 keyword phrases (more than one word).

You should know that keyword research is like cleaning the house … it is never done. You are always checking and expanding on your keywords. This is just the beginning.

Tip No. # 4 – Write 30 articles about each of the 5 keyword phrases. Did I lose you there? It was not my intention to scare you, but to tell you what your goal is. There are two ways to approach this advice. You can hire someone to write these articles, or you can write them yourself. When you hire someone to write your articles (try Elance.com), you may still have to rewrite parts of these articles. The reason is that many of the writers who offer this service are from non-English speaking countries. Make sure you find someone who speaks English and writes it well. When you’ve reached your goal of 30 articles per keyword phrase, don’t think you’re done … you should keep writing articles. The more articles you write with embedded keywords, the higher your ranking on Google.

Tip No. # 5: Make a to-do list of a daily schedule that will keep you organized and see that you are making progress. Congratulate yourself every time you check off a daily task or complete a time-consuming job. You need to be your own cheerleader. Don’t expect others to motivate you or give you encouraging talks. Also, it is very important to always look at the “positive” things you have accomplished and strive to follow through with new ideas or techniques. Don’t let negative thoughts take over your mind. Stay focused on blogging for money with all of these steps in mind.

Tip # 6: Buy software tools that will automate your work and help you complete your tasks faster and easier. There are so many out there promising the world, so be careful. I have found a tool that is the best keyword search tool on the internet. It does a lot more than keyword research – too many to list in this article, so you have to watch the video on the website for yourself. I’m a member so I know what I’m talking about. You can find the link below.

Tip # 7: Do “something” every day. Action is the most important tip because if you do nothing … you know the result. Just visualizing it, thinking about it, or dreaming about it will not make it happen. Be sure to apply Tip No. 5 with this Tip because they need each other.

Don’t beat yourself up for completing just one or two things a day. It’s the actions you take that are important. Remember that you are still making progress towards your goal, so congratulate yourself on all your efforts. When you hit yourself, you become discouraged and the next thought you will have is “give up.” Commit to doing at least one thing a day to achieve your goal.

It is important to keep working to achieve your goal. Learning from others is also a step in the right direction.

I wish you the best! Happy blogging!
